Hell on Earth

Posted by spagoer200 on 8/7/2008

The worst customer service i ever experienced i will never go back there again. I get massages about once or twice a month and have never felt so dissatisfied. The front desk was rude the massage therapist didnt even talk to me. The whole spa was dingy and dirty. It was like a chop shop. They just wanted me in and out with out even giving me a moments notice.

Don't waste your time or $$$.

My boyfriend and I went for a couples massage on 2 different occasions. We were not guided on where to go when we arrived or what to do. Never offered drinks or robes. We did have wonderful massages but the facials were rushed and the facialists were very young and not very knowledgable. We felt rushed the entire time we spent at heaven on earth and we felt overcharged for our "day of beauty". We had given them a second chance but still a big disappointment. We will not visit again. Don't waste your time waiting on services that are mediocre and prices that are high-end.

NOT WORTH IT - PLEASE PASS IT ON

UPON MY ARRIVAL, THE RECEPTIONIST WALKED ME DOWNSTAIRS TO THE WAITING ROOM. HE NEVER OFFERED ME A DRINK OR INFORMED ME ABOUT THE FACILITY. IT WAS THE OTHER PEOPLE AROUND ME THAT POINTED WHERE THINGS LIKE THE LOCKER AND ROBES AND BATHROOM WERE. AND THEN I WAITED FOR MORE THAN 15 MINUTES UNTIL MY THERAPIST CAME TO GET ME. THE FACIAL WAS FINE BUT THE TOWELS HAD HOLES IN THEM AND LOOKED LIKE IT WAS DINNER FOR RATS. SHE STARTED ME 10 MINUTES LATE ALSO AND DIDN'T REALIZE THAT I KNEW. ANY PAYING CLIENT KNOWS THAT TIME IS MONEY. I WAS NOT HAPPY THAT SHE DID NOT CORRECT THAT MISTAKE. THE MASSAGE WAS THE BEST AND THOROUGH. SHE QUESTIONED MY HEALTH AND WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL. I RECEIVED SOME EXERCISE MOVES THAT HAVE BENEFITTED ME SINCE THEN. MY PEDICURE WAS ENJOYABLE BECAUSE OF THE POSH CHAIRS. BUT I COUL'VE GOTTEN RID OF MY DRY CRACKED HEELS AT SOME OTHER PLACE. THEY DIDN'T EVEN SHAVE OR GET RID OF IT!!!! I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOO GLAD THAT THIS PLACE WAS SO UNORGANIZED. INSTEAD OF LEAVING ME IN THE ROOM FOR MY WAXING- THEY BOOKED A PEDICURE IN BETWEEN. SO AFTER CHANGING OUT OF MY CLOTHES THEN PUTTING IT BACK ON I HAD TO CHANGE OUT OF IT AGAIN. BUT, AND THIS IS WHY ITS NOT WORTH IT, WHEN I WENT BACK INTO THE ROOM I CHECKED THE WAX POT LIKE I DO AT ALL PLACES. THERE WAS A SPATULA ALREADY IN THERE AND PARTICLES TOO INTIMATE TO MENTION. I CHECKED OUT WITHOUT MY WAXING AND HAVE NEVER BEEN THERE AGAIN. PLEASE PASS IT ON.

Beautifully convenient, but overpriced

i used to looooooooooooove this place, back when it was just a cute little dayspa that specialized in massage and facials. the philosophy back then was to make these little luxuries of life accessible for the "average joe". unfortunately, no longer. heaven on earth has now sunk a lot of money into decor and expansion. which is great for the owner, i suppose, but it has left the rest of us peons behind. i used to go all the time, but the last 2 times i was there, the massage was still great, but the reception service was spotty at best, and neglectful at worst. for one appointment, which i had come 10 mins. early for, i sat and waited 30 minutes in the sitting area before anyone checked in on me. finally, after pacing back and forth pretending to peruse the many wares they had for sale, i asked and they said oh, sorry we forgot about you. i almost wrote a long letter to the owner, but then said, forget it, i'm just not coming back (as you can see, i'm taking the opportunity to write it now--ha ha). i had been going for so long, i decided to give it one more chance and the next time was slightly better, only a 10 min. wait, but nobody offered water or tea (which i knew they had and which they used to offer regularly), despite the room being almost empty. you would think that for $70/hr they would extend you some basic niceties. and that was back awhile--they're now charging $75/hr for the basic massage!the one time i did do a half day package, the massage was great, the facial was good, the wrap and scrub was not worth it. i don't think the wrap/scrub was worse than other places, i just didn't enjoy the experience much....i was cold after they left me in the wrap for about 10 mins. and there was no way to get someone to help me.haven't tried the hair services, and i probably won't. sorry to see this place go the way of so many other day spas...if you want to see where i go now--check out my post on "myospa".

Soothing Service, convenient location

Heaven on Earth gives a great relaxation for office workers in downtown Honolulu. Because it is located in the center of downtown, it is so easy to make a stop after work before going home or refresh up before going out. As soon as you enter the salon, you are welcomed by the relaxing spa aroma and guided by a friendly staff. The service is good, and the price is average. Can't complain.
