The Iolani Palace was once home to King David Kalākaua and Queen Liliʻuokalani, making it the only royal residence in all of the United States actually used by a reigning monarch. It is located in the city's Capitol District, at the intersection of Richards and King Streets. Over a hundred years old, the palace has had numerous renovations and is now registered as a National Historic Landmark.
